09:17 AM EDT, 07/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Avis Budget Group ( CAR ) said Tuesday it has signed a multi-year collaboration with Alphabet-backed (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo to roll out an autonomous ride-hailing service in Dallas next year.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the terms, Avis will be Waymo's fleet operations partner in the city, providing services including infrastructure, vehicle readiness, maintenance, and depot operations, the company added.

Avis said initial testing is already being carried out in Dallas, while the service will be offered to the public through the Waymo app.

Shares of Avis rose more than 4% in recent Tuesday premarket activity, while Alphabet was down slightly.
