Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.89.

Sales for the quarter ended Dec. 28 were $5.66 billion, down from $6.2 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $5.58 billion.

For fiscal Q3, the supplier of electronic components expects diluted EPS of $0.65 to $0.75 on sales of $5.05 billion to $5.35 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect EPS of $1.02 on sales of $5.52 billion.

Shares of the company were down 7.4% in recent premarket activity.
