08:36 AM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Axcelis Technologies ( ACLS ) said Wednesday it has entered a joint program with GE Aerospace (GE) to develop production-worthy 6.5 to 10kV superjunction power devices.

Under the deal, processes will be built on Purion high-energy ion implanters to support GE's high-voltage silicon carbide switches project, the company said.

Shares of Axcelis ( ACLS ) rose more than 2% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
