07:43 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Axsome Therapeutics ( AXSM ) said Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Sandoz to dismiss the patent litigation related to Axsome's product Sunosi.

The litigation resulted from Sandoz submitting an abbreviated new drug application to the Food and Drug Administration seeking approval to market a generic equivalent of Sunosi in the US.

The litigation, which was pending in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey, has been dismissed as Sandoz withdrew its application, the company said.
