07:58 AM EDT, 03/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aya Gold & Silver ( AYASF ) said Tuesday that its silver production at the Zgounder mine in Morocco declined month-over-month in February.
The miner produced 357,333 ounces of silver in February, falling from 383,515 ounces produced in January.
The company noted that average daily production increased to 12,762 ounces from 12,371, which was based on 23 days of operation due to lower availability as a result of a planned shutdown. The milling rate rose to 133 t/op.h from 126 t/op.h while mine production climbed to 68,967 tonnes from 50,403 tonnes.
"We see a month-over-month increase in the daily average silver production, but also in the milling and mining rates from January to February 2025," President and CEO Benoit La Salle said. "This strong performance is driven by improved mine production, alongside sustained processing capacity over 2,800 [tonnes per day] since January."
Aya's share price fell 9.8% on Monday to a near 52-week low of $10.13 on the TSX.
