05:37 PM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- B. Riley Financial ( RILY ) said late Monday that it is "unable, without unreasonable effort or expense," to file its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30 by the required filing date of Aug. 9.

The company said it experienced delays in finalizing the valuations of certain loans and investments for the quarter ended June 30.

The company is "working diligently to file the Quarterly Report as promptly as practical."

Shares of the company closed 52% lower on Monday.
