Baidu, AutoGo to Expand Abu Dhabi Driverless Robotaxi Fleet by 2026
Nov 11, 2025 5:51 AM

08:20 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baidu ( BIDU ) said Tuesday its Apollo Go autonomous ride-hailing service and AutoGo agreed to scale their Abu Dhabi robotaxi fleet to hundreds of vehicles by 2026 after getting permits for fully driverless commercial operations.

The permit from Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre follows months of fully driverless testing on public roads and allows the partners to offer robotaxi rides to residents and visitors, the company said.

The plan is aimed at building what is described as Abu Dhabi's largest fully driverless fleet as the partners move toward large-scale commercial service, Baidu ( BIDU ) said.
