05:45 AM EST, 02/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baidu ( BIDU ) and Contemporary Amperex Technology, or CATL, have signed a strategic partnership focusing on digital intelligence and autonomous driving, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

The parties will jointly explore the development of driverless vehicles and new business models, according to the media reports.

As part of the partnership, Baidu ( BIDU ) and CATL will collaborate on applying CATL's power batteries, battery swapping products and skateboard chassis for autonomous vehicles.

Baidu ( BIDU ) and CATL did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
