01:16 PM EDT, 07/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baidu Inc. ( BIDU ) unveiled major upgrades to its AI offerings, including a new image-to-video generator and the most significant revamp of its search engine in a decade.

The new tool, called MuseSteamer, can generate 10-second video clips from a single image, complete with synchronized visuals, sound effects and dialogue, Baidu ( BIDU ) said in a statement. The feature will be integrated into its search platform.

The revamped Smart Search Box now supports long-form queries of over 1,000 Chinese characters, accepts multimedia inputs, including images, audio, and video, and connects directly to AI tools for writing and image generation.

Baidu ( BIDU ) aims to transform its mobile app into an AI assistant capable of helping users with writing, drawing and travel planning, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a company executive at a press conference.
