S Sreenivasan, chief financial officer of Bajaj Finserv, spoke to CNBC-TV8 about the quarterly results and outlook.

“Our focus is on growing the new business value which is the expected profit to be generated from all the new business that we do,” said Sreenivasan.

Talking about the life insurance business, Sreenivasan said, “We were behind the top few companies but we are catching up quite fast. We were at 77 percent at the end of last year. The top players are in the range of 80-85 percent. We are almost there now.”

According to him, life insurance can grow between 15 and 20 percent.
