10:00 AM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Baker Hughes ( BKR ) said Thursday that BP (BP) is using its emissions abatement technology to quantify methane emissions from oil and gas flares.

The companies launched a study of flare combustion to assess the accuracy of Baker Hughes' ( BKR ) flare.IQ technology, the company said, adding that the project is allowing BP to cut flaring emissions.
