04:02 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ballard Power Systems ( BLDP ) said late Monday it has received an order to supply 6.4MW of fuel cell engines to eCap Marine to power two Samskip vessels operating between Norway and the Netherlands.

The company said 32 FCwave-200 kW engines, which will support Samskip's push for zero-emission shipping, are planned to be delivered in 2025 and 2026.

The order is a continuation of Ballard's partnership with eCap Marine, which began in 2021, the company said, adding that the project is backed by ENOVA, Norway's energy and climate agency.
