Banc of California Swings to Q4 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rises -- Shares Up Pre-Bell

06:24 AM EST, 01/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Banc of California ( BANC ) reported Q4 adjusted net earnings Thursday of $0.28 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.67 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.23.

Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total non-interest income was $264.3 million, compared to negative revenue of $249.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $273.9 million.

Shares of the lender were up more than 3% in premarket activity.

Frances Haugen, who worked as a product manager on the civic misinformation team at Facebook, on Sunday revealed her identity as the whistleblower who helped lead to a Wall Street Journal investigation and a Senate hearing on Instagram's harm to teen girls. "There were conflicts of interest between what was good for the public and what was good for Facebook," she said during the interview. "And Facebook over and over again chose to optimize for its own interests like making more money."
