02:10 PM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria's ( BBVA ) bid for Banco Sabadell will be reviewed by Spain's government, according to economy ministry press release on Tuesday.

The ministry will have 30 days to analyze the proposal and offer a decision, according to a statement.

The review comes after the National Commission on Markets and Competition cleared the deal, per the release.
