11:26 AM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of New York Mellon ( BK ) said Thursday that Chief Executive Robin Vince has been unanimously elected to the additional position of chairman of the board, starting Sept. 1.

Joe Echevarria, the current chairman, will transition to the role of lead independent director on the same date, the company said, adding that Echevarria previously held the lead independent director role from 2016 to 2019.
