02:00 PM EDT, 04/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of New York Mellon's ( BK ) BNY Trust Company of Canada unit will be acquired by Computershare through its Canadian trust company, Computershare said Thursday.

Computershare said that all "relevant" workers are expected to transfer as part of the transaction, with new hires being able to work from its own office in Toronto.

The terms of the deal, which is expected to close in H2, were not disclosed.
