Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Q2 Core Earnings Fall, Revenue Rises

05:25 PM EDT, 07/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son ( NTB ) reported Q2 core earnings late Monday of $1.11 per diluted share, down from $1.14 a year earlier.

Four analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.04.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, was $143.1 million, up from $142.6 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $139.5 million.

The company said its board maintained a quarterly dividend of $0.44 per share, payable on Aug. 19 to shareholders of record on Aug. 5.

The board also approved a new repurchase authorization for up to 2.1 million shares through the end of 2024.

Shares of the company were up 1.9% in after-hours activity.
