07:35 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Barrick (B) said Monday it has appointed Mark Hill group chief operating officer and interim president and chief executive, effective immediately.

Hill most recently oversaw the company's Latin America and Asia Pacific regions and joined Barrick in 2006. He succeeds Mark Bristow, who is stepping down after almost seven years.

The company said the board has begun a search for a permanent CEO.
