LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany Feb 28 (Reuters) - The CEO of
German chemicals group BASF urged the prospective
German coalition partners - Friedrich Merz's conservatives and
the Social Democrats - to come to an agreement to form a
government fast and support the economy.
In a press conference after the release of financial
results, CEO Markus Kamieth said that the two parties "need to
get their act together" and focus negotiations on a limited
number of the most important topics.
He also said that the prospect of new U.S. tariffs would not
change BASF's long-term investments across world regions because
chemical plants were built to run for decades.
