08:15 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bausch + Lomb ( BLCO ) said Tuesday that Health Canada has approved its enVista Envy full visual range intraocular lens.

The company said it plans to introduce additional designs in the coming months to expand the enVista portfolio and better meet patient needs.

Health Canada's approval was based on a study that showed 93% of patients with the lens reported little to no bothersomeness for dysphotopsia and 94% reported little to no difficulty viewing close objects, according to the company.

The enVista Envy will be commercially available in Canada in mid-June, the company said, adding it is also seeking regulatory approvals for the lens in additional markets, including the US and Europe.
