04:09 AM EDT, 09/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Baxter International ( BAX ) said Sunday it expects damage and disruption caused by Hurricane Helene to negatively impact the company's financial results.

The medical technology company said rain and flooding in North Carolina forced it to close its production facility in the city of Marion.

Baxter is assessing the damage and putting together a plan to bring the plant back online. The company plans to include an update on the storm's impact in its Q3 earnings announcement, it said.
