10:54 AM EDT, 10/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Baxter International ( BAX ) said Wednesday it plans to restart production at its North Cove facility in Marion, North Carolina, in phases and to be at 90% to 100% allocation of certain intravenous solution product codes by the end of the year.

The facility is currently closed for production due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The medical technology company said it is working with the US Food and Drug Administration to provide for the temporary importation of certain products.

Baxter shares were up 2% in recent trading.
