July 7 (Reuters) - Baxter International ( BAX ) on
Monday named Andrew Hider as the medical device maker's top
boss, succeeding long-time CEO Jose Almeida.
Hider, who will assume charge at Baxter no later than
September 3, was the chief of ATS Corporation ( ATS ), a
company that designs and builds machinery for industries such as
medical devices, food and beverage and pharmaceuticals.
In February, Baxter had said Almeida would retire after
nearly a decade as the company's CEO.
