FRANKFURT, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Bayer's CEO
said the importance of food inflation for the U.S. presidential
election makes him confident that the country's lawmakers will
support the company as it fights product liability litigation
related to weedkiller Roundup.
"We have a positive outlook on the importance that American
policymakers ... associate with ensuring that reliable crop
protection products remain available," Bill Anderson said on
Tuesday in a media call after the release of quarterly results.
"The environment is conducive to progress," he added.
