Baylin Technologies Wins $132,000 Contract to Install Cellular Antennas in Mexico's Estadio Azteca, Latin America's Largest Soccer Stadium
May 25, 2025 8:47 PM

08:52 AM EDT, 04/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baylin Technologies ( BYLTF ) on Tuesday said its subsidiary Galtronics won a $132,000 contract to install cellular antennas in Mexico's Estadio Azteca, the largest soccer stadium in Latin America with a seating capacity of more than 87,000.

Galtronics will install multibeam and stadium antennas to provide "robust, high-capacity wireless coverage." The antennas help cellular providers manage massive spikes in data usage when dense crowds form during live events such as soccer games. The stadium is slated to host games during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including the opening match

"We are incredibly excited to be chosen by the largest venue in Latin America and a host site for the upcoming World Cup," said Baylin ( BYLTF ) Chief Executive Leighton Carroll. "Galtronics being selected not only demonstrates the value of what we do but also shows wireless carriers around the world understand the unique capabilities of our products at solving high-capacity needs using our innovative Multibeam technology."
