Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected EPS of CA$0.27.

Petroleum and natural gas sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $984.2 million, compared with $555.3 million a year earlier.

A single analyst polled by Capital IQ expected $923.5 million.

Shares of Baytex were down more than 4% premarket Friday.
