Becton, Dickinson Launches Syringe With Thinner Wall Cannula

07:28 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Becton, Dickinson ( BDX ) said Wednesday it has commercially launched a Neopak glass prefillable syringe with an 8-millimeter needle length and thinner wall cannula.

The new feature optimizes subcutaneous delivery of higher viscosity drug profiles by lowering the injection force and time for a fixed solution viscosity, the medical technology company said.

Additionally, the firm said its production facility in Le Pont-de-Claix, France, has integrated a high volume manufacturing line for the BD Neopak syringe platform.
