Bed Bath & Beyond to Launch Franchise Model, Shifting to Smaller Corporate Footprint
Oct 7, 2025 7:05 AM

09:21 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bed Bath & Beyond ( BBBY ) said Tuesday it will roll out a national franchise system, allowing local entrepreneurs to operate branded stores.

The company said the move reduces the number of company-run locations while expanding reach through franchising.

Stores will follow a standard format but allow for some local product selection, it added.

Bed Bath & Beyond ( BBBY ) said the franchisees will benefit from a revenue share of online sales and gain access to digital tools, including AI for inventory, staffing, and sales forecasting, adding that it is offering a blockchain-based funding option through tZERO, allowing franchisees to raise capital digitally and involve local investors.
