Bell Canada Presents Bell AI Fabric to Help Canadian Companies Compete
May 28, 2025 7:15 AM

09:48 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bell Canada, wholly owned by BCE (BCE.TO, BCE), on Wednesday presented Bell AI Fabric, which it says can create Canada's largest artificial intelligence compute project and ensure that Canadian companies can continue to compete and win in the global AI economy.

The company said Bell AI Fabric will create a national network starting with a data center supercluster in British Columbia that will aim to provide upwards of 500 MW of hydro-electric powered AI compute capacity across six facilities.

The first of Bell's AI Fabric facilities will come online in June in partnership with Groq and the launch of their 7 MW AI inference facility in Kamloops, British Columbia. Additional AI facilities will come online by the end of 2026, including a 26 MW AI data center being built in partnership with Thompson Rivers University.

Bell Canada also added that two other AI datacenters with a combined capacity of more than 400 MW were also in advanced planning stages with stakeholders.
