08:53 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BCE (BCE.TO) unit Bell Canada and Mila said on Thursday that they have partnered to develop artificial intelligence services to enhance customer experience and optimize business operations.

"Our new partnership with Mila will strengthen Bell's position as an AI leader, enabling us to leverage the world-class institute's cutting-edge research to drive improvements across customer experience, operations, data analysis and Internet-based applications," said Michel Richer, Bell Canada's senior vice president of enterprise solutions, data engineering and AI.

BCE rose 0.4% in Canada yesterday and was 0.5% higher in premarket U.S. trading on Thursday.
