01:26 PM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Benton Resources ( BNTRF ) on Tuesday said it completed a drill hole at the Great Burnt Main Deposit in Newfoundland, 150 meters east of the main deposit that encountered massive sulfides.
The company said the hole intersected 21.1 meters of semi-massive and massive sulfides with what it said was high-grade copper mineralization. All samples have been submitted to the lab, and assays are pending for this drill hole.

The company said drilling will resume in mid-January, when it will test numerous other deep and parallel targets, aimed at expanding the Great Burnt Deposit.
Shares of Benton, which has a 70% interest in the Great Burnt Project, were last seen up $0.01 to $0.08 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
