07:52 AM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) recently sold over 2 million shares of Chinese electric vehicle company BYD, reducing its stake to about 6%, according to a recent regulatory filing in Hong Kong.

The Form 2 filing, recorded in Hong Kong late Monday, early Tuesday in the US, showed Berkshire Hathaway held a 6.2% stake in BYD, comprising about 67.9 million shares, prior to the sale.

Data from the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing's website showed Berkshire Hathaway also sold about 1.3 million shares of BYD earlier this month that reduced its stake to 6.9% at the time.
