Berlusconi family's MFE bids for German broadcaster ProSieben
Mar 26, 2025 11:28 AM

MILAN, March 26(Reuters) - MFE-MediaForEurope,

the TV group controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family, has made a

cash and share bid as part of a plan to increase its stake in

German peer ProSiebenSat.1, it said on Wednesday.

The price offered by MFE, which already owns nearly 30% of

the German broadcaster, will be equal to the average price of

ProSieben shares over the past three months, the minimum level

allowed under German takeover law. The offer will be 78% cash,

with the remainder in new MFE A shares.

MFE said it had separately agreed to buy shares from an

existing investor that would take its stake above the 30%

threshold.
