09:27 AM EDT, 04/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Berry Global ( BERY ) and Glatfelter ( GLT ) said Wednesday the required waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act for its proposed business combination has expired, allowing a transaction to proceed.

Earlier this year on the Feb. 7, Berry and Glatfelter ( GLT ) entered a deal under which Berry would spin-off and merge its HHNF business with Glatfelter ( GLT ) in a Reverse Morris Trust transaction, which will create a publicly-traded company in the specialty materials industry and is expected to close in the second half of 2024.
