10:58 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Friday on Fox News that more trade deals will likely be announced in July with India talks "far along," and that "with the exception of the EU, most are negotiating in very good faith."

President Donald Trump said earlier in social media posts that he was considering a 25% tariff on Apple ( AAPL ) if it doesn't shift iPhone production to the US for domestic sales, as well as a 50% tariff on the EU.

Bessent said he hopes the posts will "light a fire" under the EU and Apple ( AAPL ).
