07:25 AM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BHP Group ( BHP ) said Thursday that its fiscal Q1 iron ore output totaled 64.6 million metric tons, up 2% year-over-year.

BHP said copper output went up 4% year-over-year to 476,300 tons.

Steelmaking coal production fell 19% year-over-year to 4.5 million tons, the company said.

The company said its Jansen Stage 1 potash project in Canada is 58% complete.
