12:41 PM EDT, 04/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BHP Group ( BHP ) shares were down 3.3% in recent Thursday after Reuters reported Anglo American did not consider the miner's unsolicited 31 billion British pounds ($38.80 billion) offer attractive.

BHP's offer was dismissed by some large investors as being opportunistic, the report said, citing two sources.

Neither BHP Group ( BHP ) nor Anglo American immediately responded to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
