Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.70.

Revenue for the year ended June 30 was $55.66 billion compared with $53.82 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $55.84 billion.

BHP announced an interim dividend of 74 cents per share, bringing the full-year dividend to $1.46 per share.
