BigBear.ai Gets $13.2 Million Department of Defense Contract for AI Decision Platform

10:39 AM EDT, 03/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BigBear.ai ( BBAI ) said Monday it was awarded a 3.5-year, $13.2 million contract from the US Department of Defense.

The contract supports the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's Directorate for Force Management (J-35). BigBear.ai ( BBAI ) will maintain and improve the DoD's ORION Decision Support Platform, the company said.

The company added that it will work on the platform's scalability and analytical capabilities to support force planning in response to changing threats. The platform helps visualize global forces and improves military decision-making by speeding up strategic analysis from weeks to minutes.

Shares of BigBear.ai ( BBAI ) fell nearly 3% in recent trading activity.
