BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Names Charlie Gayer as CEO

12:00 PM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BioCryst Pharmaceuticals ( BCRX ) named Charlie Gayer as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1.

Gayer, 54, will succeed Jon Stonehouse, who plans to retire on Dec. 31, the company said Thursday in a regulatory filing.

Currently serving as chief commercial officer, Gayer will assume Stonehouse's role as president on Friday.

Stonehouse will continue as a board director following his retirement.
