Biofrontera Inc. Confirms Talks on Merger, Licensing Changes with Biofrontera AG

03:42 PM EDT, 06/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Biofrontera Inc. ( BFRI ) confirmed negotiations on a potential merger with parent company Biofrontera AG or an adjustment of their license and supply agreement.

A revised license agreement may lead to rights transferring to Biofrontera Inc. ( BFRI ) from Leverkusen, Germany-based Biofrontera AG, along with a reduction in the transfer price for the Woburn, Massachusetts-based company's licensed products sold in the US.

The terms of any agreement have not yet been finalized and remain subject to multiple conditions, Biofrontera Inc. ( BFRI ) said Wednesday in a statement.

Biofrontera Inc. ( BFRI ) shares rose 3.1% in recent trading Wednesday.
