09:48 AM EST, 03/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BioNTech SE ( BNTX ) said Thursday that Sean Marett, chief business and commercial officer, is set to retire.

The company said a new chief commercial officer will be named by the end of March, while Chief Legal Officer James Ryan will assume the role of chief business officer upon Marett's retirement.

Effective July 1, Marett will transition to the role of a specialized advisor to the company until year-end, BioNTech said.
