06:29 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BioNTech SE ( BNTX ) reported a Q2 loss Monday of 3.36 euros ($3.68) per diluted share, widening from a loss of 0.79 euros per share a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of 2.01 euros

Total revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was 128.7 million euros, down from 167.7 million euros a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected 135.7 million euros.

For 2024, the biotechnology company reiterated its financial outlook, saying its expects total revenue of 2.5 billion euros to 3.1 billion euros. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect 2.75 billion euros.

BioNTech shares were down more than 4% in recent premarket activity.
