11:57 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Birchtech Security (BCHT.TO), up 11% at last look Tuesday, said it has secured a licensing agreement with another coal-powered utility, bringing the total number of utilities to 14.
The agreement includes a one-time fee. The company has also agreed to withdraw from petitions lodged with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office for Inter Partes review.
"Our outreach across the industry has been well received, reflecting our 'business-first' approach that continues with other utilities. Our patented technologies for mercury emissions provide utilities with a more affordable, effective solution, which becomes more important for grid reliability as energy demands increase," said chief executive Richard MacPherson.
Birchtech ( BCHT ) shares are up $0.10, to $0.98, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
