Birkenstock Shareholder Launches Secondary Stock Offering; Shares Fall After Hours

05:13 PM EDT, 06/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Birkenstock Holding ( BIRK ) said late Monday an entity affiliated with L Catterton launched a secondary public offering of 14 million Birkenstock ( BIRK ) shares.

The selling shareholder, BK LC Lux MidCo, has sole voting and dispositive power over roughly 9.9 million of the shares, while the selling shareholder and the executive officers and certain other employees of the Birkenstock Group have shared voting and dispositive power over the remaining shares being offered.

BK LC plans to grant a 30-day overallotment option to the underwriters to acquire up to 2.1 million additional shares, Birkenstock ( BIRK ) said.

The company's shares were down 3.4% in after-hours activity.
