Bitfarms Completes Sale of Paraguay Data Center to HIVE Digital for US$85 Million

07:35 AM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bitfarms ( BITF ) said Tuesday that it has completed the sale of its 200 MW data center in Yguazu, Paraguay to HIVE Digital Technologies ( HIVE ) for US$85 million.

Bitfarms ( BITF ) had previously said it will reinvest the capital from the sale of the data center sale towards its 1 GW growth pipeline in the U.S. for bitcoin and HPC/AI infrastructure. Chief Executive Ben Gagnon now expects Bitfarms' ( BITF ) year-end 2025 proforma energy portfolio will be 80% North American and 20% international.

The company's shares were last seen down US$0.01, to US$1.09, in New York pre-market trading.
