Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.06.
Net sales for the quarter ended Feb. 3 were $5.25 billion, up from $4.83 billion last year.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $5.40 billion.
The company said total comparable club sales declined 0.4% year on year during the quarter. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a decline of 0.3%.
For fiscal 2024 ending Feb. 1, 2025, BJ's Wholesale Club said it expects adjusted EPS of $3.75 to $4.00, and comparable club sales growth of 1% to 2%, excluding the impact of gasoline sales. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect EPS normalized of $3.99.
