BK Technologies Gets Portable Radios Orders Worth $9.1 Million

10:30 AM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BK Technologies ( BKTI ) said Wednesday it received two orders with a combined value of $9.1 million from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to purchase BKR 5000 portable radios.

The orders are part of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection's, or CAL FIRE's, life cycle replacement program, according to BK Technologies ( BKTI ).

CAL FIRE is migrating from BK's KNG Series Portables and has purchased over 6,500 BKR 5000 radios since the migration began in 2022, BK Technologies ( BKTI ) added.
