08:54 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BlackBerry (BB.TO, BB), which provides enterprises and governments with intelligent software and services, on Wednesday said it appointed software executive Barry Mainz to its board.
U.S.-listed shares of the company were last seen up 1.7% at $3.8812 in pre-market trading.
Mainz has three decades of experience in cybersecurity and operational technology and is the chief executive of Forescout Technologies, a global cybersecurity company. With the addition of Mainz to the board, the total number of directors have increased to eight, seven of whom are independent directors, including Mainz.
In a separate press release, QNX, a division of BlackBerry, announced its role as a key ecosystem and integration partner in the general availability of the new NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor development kit, a next-generation platform engineered to "power the future of autonomous vehicles."
