BlackBerry Expanding Its QNX Software Portfolio; Separately Introduced CylanceMDR Pro, a Managed Detection and Response Service Powered by AI

09:05 AM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BlackBerry Limited ( BB ) on Wednesday announced the launch of QNX Containers, expanding its QNX software portfolio to support operating system (OS) virtualization and containerization on QNX-based devices.

QNX Containers should be available in Q4, 2024, a statement said.

Earlier Wednesday Blackberry launched CylanceMDR Pro, a managed detection and response (MDR) service built on an Open XDR platform powered by AI. According to a related statement, the solution is "designed to tackle the growing challenges of modern cybersecurity" and is for businesses looking to "advance their cybersecurity capabilities without overhauling their existing security infrastructure or hiring teams of analysts and threat hunters."

CylanceMDR Pro will be available July 31, 2024.
